5 undeniable reasons why you need to write that book

Consider this your sign of confirmation that it’s time to put the pen to the paper or fingers to the keyboard to get started on that book you’ve had in mind. The fact that you’re reading this may very well be that push of permission that you need to pursue something that’s been on your heart for a while to do.

I know that feeling very well, which is why I’m sharing five reasons why you need to go ahead and get started, finish up, or publish that idea for that book, and you know the one, that you’ve been carrying with you all this time.

You have a story to tell

Everyone has a story, including yourself! Don’t think you don’t have what it takes to tell your story. There are more ways than ever to “write” a book. Your testimony is valid and it will also help you in your faith walk by letting it out in this medium.

God gave you the idea for the book

This is reason enough to pursue the book writing and publishing process. It may seem like a huge task to take on, but the Lord will be with you every step of the way. You never know what your step of faith and obedience will take you to with your book. God gave me the idea to write Journey to 30, who to interview, and it was a blessed process. I look forward to what He has for me to work on next!

You see a void in the topic that you want to write about

There are thousands of upon thousands of books out here and some topics are over saturated, but guess what? They still don’t have the book in your voice. You may have a unique idea or spin on a topic that’s been already done. It may be a children’s book or a non-fiction book, photo book, etc. If you see that there’s a topic that not many people have written about from your perspective and experience, go for it and pursue that book!

You want to leave behind a message for the world

Once your book is officially published, who knows where it will go, who will read it and who will it impact. My first book has gone international and the wisdom and interviews in it will remain long after I’m gone. What messages do you have to share with the world?
