So, I think I’ve met the one…a new car at least, lol.
In November 2016, I was driving to church and out of nowhere God drops the idea of a new car on me. What do you want it to look like? The first thing that came to mind was a Nissan Altima in silver.
I’ve wanted more expensive cars before, but in this season of my life it’s hard to see myself driving a car over $60K. I never had this thought before of picking out a car that I wanted with this arresting feeling of hope that yes, I can have it, and yes, God is more than able to give it to me.
In that moment between me and God, I shed some tears of joy and assurance that God sees me, knows me and loves me. It’s not about having a new car, it’s about the trust that I have in Him to do any and everything that He said He will do for me. So when you have gone at a certain level or pace for some time you can get complacent and used to it. But why not think bigger by faith?
Fast forward to this week, when I was invited by Zondra Hughes of Six Brown Chicks to get a preview of the 2017 fleet of Nissan “Midnight Edition” models. I attended the event, an already satisfied Nissan owner (my current car is an ’06 Sentra) and I was so impressed by all the stops the team put out to get our attention.
The #NissanAtMidgnight event was packed with automotive fans and media to cover the reveal of six of Nissan’s popular models with the special “Midnight Edition” package.
Designed to add visual excitement, the new Midnight Editions of Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Murano and Pathfinder share unique content – including black wheels, black spoiler, black mirror caps and available special floor mats –with additional equipment added by model. My favorite of course was the Altima!
Available on the 2017 Altima 2.5SR, the Altima SR Midnight Edition features black 18-inch Midnight Edition aluminum-alloy wheels and low-profile 235/45 R18 all-season tires, black mirror caps, black rear spoiler, LED headlights, remote engine start and available Midnight Edition floor mats. Yessss!
To be able to get up close and personal with the cars’ interiors definitely helped me envision my future ride. Let’s touch and agree on my new car in God’s will (Matthew 18:19-20) 🙂
You can view all of these cars and more at the Chicago Auto Show, opening this Saturday, February 11th through the 20th! For more information on the new Midnight Editions, or the complete line of 2017 Nissan sedans, sports cars, truck, crossovers and SUVs, please visit NissanNews.com.
