Our next #SingleGoals2020 feature is Devon Michelle from Lexington, Kentucky! This radient single woman in her early 40s comes to us with a different aspect of singleness: single parenthood and she has plenty to share with us to keep us inspired in this season. Read more from our interview below:
BLISS: Share how you are making the most out of your singleness:
Devon Michelle: “I am a single parent after being divorced for two years. I am truly getting to know me again. After being in a marriage for six years, one can forget who you are as an individual. I am learning all the things about me so I can be refined. I am learning some root causes of things that have caused poor decisions in the past so I don’t repeat a cycle. And I am just walking in what I believe God is calling me to do this season.”
BLISS: What is one piece of advice that you would like to share with other singles?
DM: “Enjoy your singleness, invest in you, travel the world (after COVID-19).”
“Don’t wait to get married to pursue your dreams, do it now and the spouse that aligns with your vision will meet you along your journey.”
BLISS: What are you currently doing in ministry or for the Kingdom of God?
DM: “I currently serve as the Dance Ministry Leader and I serve on our Connect Team and Merchandise Store at All Nations Worship Assembly-Louisville.”
BLISS: What project or business do you want to share with the BLISSforSingles audience?
DM: “I recently started a business with my ‘mini-me’ my daughter called DP Square, where we offer HR Service/ Consulting Services and Social Media Management. We focus on these two portions of your business so you can focus on your product and/or services.”
BLISS: Anything else that you’d like to share with us?
“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.” -Martha Graham
