This week we’re going international to the city of Lagos, Nigeria to meet with Olabisi A.! This blog has a large West African audience, so it is with pleasure to share a #singlegoals2020 feature of this single entrepreneur, life coach and ministry leader!
BLISS: Share how you are making the most out of your singleness:
Olabisi A.: “I became intentional about creating impact, living my life to the fullest, loving myself and others and totally rocking out in God’s purpose for my life. I am optimistic that I would one day meet the man whom God has for me, but ‘til then, my life is definitely not on pause.”
“I also discovered the joy and bliss in being an inspiration to other people. Watching them grow, become better and start living their lives to the fullest as well. It gets lonely, but I am never alone. The Joy of the Lord is my strength. I have also discovered the immense riches in being single. If I never marry, that would probably be the only thing I would not have done in my life, because I am intentional about doing everything that I feel God wants me to do. That is what I will give account for in heaven—did I maximize and trade with the investments that God has placed in my life? I hope to give God a long report sheet of achievements!”
“I decided that being single was not going to stop me from living out my purpose.”
BLISS: What is one piece of advice that you would like to share with other singles?
OA: “Stop worrying so much and be more focused in living out God’s plans for you. Let your spouse find you working and serving in your place of purpose. People want someone who would inspire them to be better. Be that to someone and your spouse will be glad you’re developing yourself. This would also help you choose well. Better be single than be with someone who would slow down or clamp down on your purpose.”
BLISS: What are you currently doing in ministry or for the Kingdom of God?
OA: “I am currently an associate pastor at my church. I am also a worship leader, media team lead and a youth coach.”
BLISS: What project or business do you want to share with the BLISSforSingles audience?
OA: “I own a plus size fashion company. My desire is to help the plus-size community here in Africa get chic, confident, inspiring and awesome clothing that would truly reflect their style and give them a boost in their power as people. The name of my company is Phabuloucity. So watch out for more!”
